If you own an outfit that requires planning, the next ten weeks have places to take it.
Nigeria’s fashion calendar is packed from this weekend into December, with major events split between Abuja and Lagos.
Here are the dates worth putting somewhere other than your memory.
Nigeria Fashion Week: October 2–4
This one is already happening.
Nigeria Fashion Week’s 2026 edition runs from October 2 to 4 in Abuja, with Transcorp Hilton listed as a key venue.
The programme is built around a “Green & Blue Economy” theme, so the event is carrying sustainability talks and exhibitions alongside the runway.
If you are reading this after October 4, you missed the first one. Keep moving.
Lagos Fashion Week: October 28–November 1
Lagos gets its turn at the end of the month.
Guardian Life’s current calendar lists Lagos Fashion Week for October 28 to November 1, with Federal Palace Hotel and Casino in Victoria Island as the main location.
The official Lagos Fashion Week site describes the platform as a year-round fashion and industry programme, not only runway shows. Its work includes designer support, business development and sustainability.
For everybody outside the industry, this is also the week when Victoria Island becomes a live demonstration of how many ways a person can interpret “dress code.”
GTCO Fashion Weekend: November 7–8
One week later, another crowd.
GTCO Fashion Weekend is listed for November 7 and 8 at Water Corporation Drive, Oniru.
Its format has historically mixed runway shows with retail, food and other public-facing activity.
That makes it the easier date for somebody who likes fashion but does not have a buyer badge, press lanyard or friend who keeps saying “I’ll put your name at the door.”
Fashion Rave: November 27
Fashion Rave is listed for November 27 at Muri Okunola Park in Victoria Island.
The event leans toward emerging and independent designers, with a strong streetwear and younger-design community around it.
One day. One park. Plenty of outfits that were definitely not assembled that morning.
Africa Fashion Week Nigeria: December 12–13
The last big date on this list lands properly inside Detty December.
Africa Fashion Week Nigeria is listed for December 12 and 13 at the J. Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture and History in Lagos.
Its frame is wider than Nigerian labels alone, bringing designers from across the continent into the programme.
By then, Lagos will already be doing December at full volume.
Fashion Week will simply have better clothes.
Save the date, then check it again
All five dates were listed publicly in late September.
Events still change venues, times and access rules.
Before paying for anything around a show, check the organiser’s page again.
The useful part right now is knowing how the calendar falls.
October starts in Abuja.
Then Lagos keeps the clothes busy almost until Christmas.
