DStv Premium is ₦44,500 a month now.
Padi is ₦4,400.
There are four packages between them.
If you have not looked at the price ladder in a while, here is where it currently sits.
Padi: ₦4,400
Padi is the cheapest package on DStv Nigeria’s current comparison page.
DStv lists 45+ channels and one HD channel.
The package carries free-to-air and Africa Magic programming, kids and educational channels, music, news and SuperSport Blitz.
This is the “I still want the decoder active” end of the ladder.
Yanga: ₦6,000
Yanga is ₦6,000 a month.
DStv lists 90+ channels and seven HD channels.
Its current highlights include Africa Magic Epic, M-Net Movies, kids and educational channels, music, and some football on SuperSport Football.
The jump from Padi is ₦1,600.
After that, the gaps get wider.
Confam: ₦11,000
Confam costs ₦11,000.
The current page lists 110+ channels and 10 HD channels.
DStv positions it as a family-entertainment package, with lifestyle, documentaries, kids content, movies and selected football including La Liga, Serie A and Europa League.
This is where the monthly bill crosses five figures.
Compact: ₦19,000
Compact currently costs ₦19,000 a month.
DStv lists 125+ channels and 20 HD channels.
Its page highlights Premier League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup coverage, alongside movies, series, reality shows, kids channels, news and WWE.
The move from Confam to Compact is ₦8,000.
That single step costs more than an entire Yanga subscription.
Compact Plus: ₦30,000
Compact Plus is ₦30,000.
DStv lists 135+ channels and 30 HD channels.
The current package page highlights Champions League coverage, UFC, NBA, documentaries and international series and movies.
This is the point where the subscription is no longer something most people forget to notice when the debit alert lands.
Premium: ₦44,500
Premium sits at ₦44,500 per month.
DStv lists 140+ channels, 38 HD channels and the full sports offering with 16 SuperSport channels.
From Padi to Premium, the difference is ₦40,100 every month.
Same dish. Very different bouquet.
The useful comparison is the channel you actually care about
Package counts are easy to compare because they are numbers.
What matters to a household is usually much more specific.
One football competition. One Africa Magic channel. Kids television. A movie channel. News.
So the useful move before changing packages is to check whether the thing you actually watch sits in the cheaper bouquet.
DStv’s comparison tool lets you put packages side by side.
Forty-four thousand five hundred naira is too much money to discover later that the person who wanted Premium only watches one channel on Sunday.
